Fees and Insurance

A common question among sleep disorder patients is whether their insurance policies will cover their sleep apnea treatment. Fortunately, most traditional medical insurance providers do reimburse the costs of oral appliances prescribed to patients who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Keep in mind, however, that you may have to go outside of your network to find a sleep apnea dentist. For those who just want to stop snoring but do not have obstructive sleep apnea, insurance may not pay for the treatment.
24 Month Financing Available

We offer several different payment options including patient financing.  You can pre-quality for CareCredit Patient Payment Plans by clicking the logo below and filling out an application.

Even if Dr. Mark Kleive is not in your designated network of providers, you’re still welcome to schedule a no-fee consultation at our offices. If there is not a sleep apnea dentist in your network, your insurance company must cover the costs they would have incurred for an in-network provider. If there is another sleep apnea treatment provider in your network, you can still choose to receive treatment from Dr. Kleive with out-of-network coverage.

Payment is required at the time of service. For patients who choose to pay out of pocket to stop snoring or to receive sleep apnea treatment, or for those who are waiting on reimbursements from their insurance companies, Dr. Kleive’s office does offer extended payment plans. You’ll have up to three months to pay for consultations and treatments with no interest incurred.

We also offer financing options through CareCredit and accept cash, check and all major credit cards.

Our office will take care of processing all insurance claims and will help you receive the full benefits to which you’re entitled. Before treatment, we’ll contact your insurance company to find out exactly what is covered for the sleep apnea treatment you need. In some cases, if we are unable to determine the amount of coverage available, you may need to contact your insurance company to determine the following:

  • What percentage of medical expenses is covered for sleep apnea treatments or therapies to stop snoring?
  • Does your network include any sleep apnea dentists? If not, will your policy provide in-network coverage? If so, what would the out-of-network coverage be if you saw Dr. Kleive?
  • Does the insurance company require a referral from a doctor to see a dentist for sleep apnea treatment?

To learn more about insurance coverage for sleep apnea treatments, contact Dr. Mark Kleive at (828) 669-2974, or send him an email.
